I got this guy on TF Direct and was surprised with the amount of plastic I got for the money.

The KOs have their flaws, I got the hands replacement and combined mode head replacement, they are a must. But these figures are quite a chore to put together and apart. At many points it feels like they are going to break, specially the gymnastics required to get the feet in position for Bovis and Fortis.

The figures can look a bit weird in proportions individually, but when displayed as a group they look awesome, specially in bot mode.

At the Zoo

Beast modes are a bit weak and the transformations are pretty much the same for all individuals, I would have felt a bit scammed if I'd to pay full price for the originals to get the same engineering every time.

The big guy

Once together though, it looks imposing. Do not expect to get any playability from the combined bot, but it will shine on the shelf!

It has some balance issues and the legs feel a bit limited given the chunky members down there. I don't think that the mode with Talon on the back would work very well or add much really. Felisaber remains aside as a pet for Nero Rex.

Final words

I don't think I'll be taking this guy apart ever again.
